8/26/08 - Notes for ETS

• Enterprise Apps Applicants are in town for interviews the next couple of weeks.
• UX8 is WebCT and did not come back up after the power outage.
  
• We need to move the file from HP1 (Alicia) containing registration data from the WebCT (UX8) to another server where Moodle can access it. Where are we on this process?
  
• Another library and or Ops Room power outage is going to happen during the semester - it will likely be a Friday night (9/19, 9/26, 10/3) But could be a Saturday night Sunday.
  
• Changes in Enrollment Planning - Scott Tiechert (recruiting) to report to Lee Kriebel - Admissions to report to Registrar (Laura Mckenzie)
• Look at the comp time report and make sure supervisors are asking their folks to take those hours off before they get paid
• Michael Spall to demo Data Mailer for the manager group on Sept. 8th.
• Check the Educause website for a SLA template - No SSN are allowed - Breach of server could happen - ISU not responsible for any personal student data (not allowed).
• Need to do background checks on PT VIMs. Can' start until we have the background check back - Jamie in Public Service is the contact for background checks - like to have it before they started work.
• Daytime classes - policy. Need to remind everyone that one class only during work hours - can have flexible lunch hour to a point. It is not a right, it is a privelage and may not be allowed depending on the work schedule. if you use the lunch hour for your class, you still need to make up 1/2 hour.
• Report on 4 - 10 hour day discussion with Randy - detailed proposal.
  
• Information Security Class from Kory Schou - if there is interest from staff
• Set a date for the One Minute Manager book review discussion
